Read them before you see them

These films hit screens in 2008!  Read them (and their sequals now) before the rush! 

Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.  Here’s the IMDB link. You’ll see that it stars Kristen Stewartwho was excellent in the HBO adaptation of Laurie Halse Anderson’s Speak.  (We’ve got the book and the dvd of Speak here at the library!)  …and just to throw one more tidbit at you - L. H. Anderson keeps up an amazing blog here and also on her myspace page.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants 2(based on the novels by Ann Brashares) The girls are back!  Since the first movie, Blake Lively (Bridget) has gone on to Gossip Girl fame, Alexis Bledel (Lena) finished up her 7 season run of Gilmore Girls, America Ferrera (Carmen) made it big on Ugly Betty, and Amber Tamblyn (Tibby) has made a ton of movies. 

I’d Tell You I Love You, But Then I’d Have to Kill You by Ally Carter is also in development! 

I can see already we’ll have to give away lots of free movie passes this year as prizes!  :)
